party on!

it's been a great week in slc...the sun even came out! lunch on friday with deb and sue,dinner with mollers,   had a great time last saturday with my friend deb and her family...haven't seen them for so long...sunday a great easter party with the despains, pollocks, taryn and justin, and of course my kids and grand babies...girls night on monday with abby and ash, lunch with my brothers and sisters on tues...it's been nonstop...playing with the kids all week.seeing kathy and steve's newly remodeled house.....friday night a newbury park reunion with a party for randy and jennifer..then today for my birthday, fun times..massages...then a great surprise party with so many of my favorite people...it was really a great day...thanks to kerry, russ and kristen for putting it all together....and to all of my family and friends that were there...loved it!!! what a fun week....

girls night

so, we're up for 'spring break' in utah...and it's still cold, snowy winter!  ashley p. maddox was visitng along with abby moller and both were told to stay here with us, because the weather was so bad, no one wanted them driving home (actually kerry would have to drive abby)...so we had a girls night...went to sushi...watched a movie.(after the little boys went to bed)...and they had fun painting the toes and nails of the youngest in the group!  charlie loved her pretty pink nails!  a fun time for all of us...

tonight was a fantastic night.i saw my crush of many, many years...russ and kristen, larene and i went to see paul mccartney...kelly and jeff were supposed to go, but charlie was sick and fell and cut her lip...so they had to stay home :(...so sorry guys..it was wonderful...he played for almost 3 hours straight...song after song...oldies, new ones...great songs...he told how he wrote certain songs and why...it was really entertaining...watching him was the greatest...watching the people around us made it that much more fun...the guy in front that thought he was in the band...the guy that brought his music shakers...it was fun...a really great night..it's amazing to think that he's been playing since i was in 2nd grade...fun times.....thanks, paul.....

i had a few visitors this week...luckily the weather co-operated and they were able to swim....
there was alot of water...naked bodies...easter eggs...and fun...

really?

the crazies were out today...at von's, the lady in front had about 5 different transactions...took forever, at cvs, same thing!!! one transaction, pay, then scan another,pay, then another...crazy.... then, at subway the man in front of me started talking and talking about his cell phone business ( hey, he said he will earn a million dollars by dec? and if i get 3 friends on his cell service, i get free service for life!! what a deal and as you can see, i learned quite a bit and was glad when he left), i couldn't even get him to stop talking  for me to make my order...then, on the way to the car, i was accosted and asked for money by a young girl...this is all in the von's shopping center...within about 1 hour...guess the weather brought everyone out...

girls weekend

i was told that i needed to update my blog...guess i've been too busy having fun....kerry and whit came down on thursday night for a fun visit...i picked them up at the airport...we then met shannon for dinner in westwood...it was fun to be together...friday went to the topanga mall for a little retail therapy...had a great time there...friday night was russ' big cook-off party...it was a hit...and the entertainment!!! russ and seth 'egging' each other on...seeing what disgusting things each one would eat....really...how old are they?  boys will be boys!  saturday, a little rain...so we hit the mall again...then to the movies...and later dinner at cho cho sans....sunday church and later friends...kelly and her kids arrived and livend up the house...they never stop moving, talking, running etc...so what's on for today?  that's the question!! but, it will be great fun...of that i'm sure......

last days of heaven

last tuesday, the girls left cabo (: but then kelly came with her kids ):
we had a fun time for a few days...unfortunately one day was cool and cloudy, but that didn't stop us from being at the pool...the kids love the water and can stay in it all day...it was a fun few days...the weather ended up gorgeous...a great end to a fun trip...can't wait to go again!!

we had a great day today....started off early at the pool...where we talked, read, talked, swam around...enjoyed the last full day...in the late afternoon we had some spa treatments...kathie, a facial...alison, a scrub...larene and i decided to go for 'a cooling wrap', which i'll tell you about...first they had us put on these paper little swim suits...we were cracking up...then, we both had to get into this jacuzzi and soak for 15 min....did i mention it was freezing???? it was really cold...hence, the cooling part...then larene left for her room...i stayed in the room we were in, which was an outdoor patio...it had a nice 'cool' breeze coming through...so, i layed down on the table where she put this goopy aloe stuff on me and then wrapped me in a sheet, towels, then plastic...did i mention i'm a bit clausophobic??? anyway...then she proceeded to goop up my face...after doing that, she poured cold, cold water all over me!! i thought i'd die....felt like i was being tortured...i was just trying not to be shaking all over...especially when that nice breeze came through...she painted my face for awhile...then, scrubbed my head, then massaged my feet...that was great...it's funny when you think how great it is that the masseuse has warm hands...i was a little tense because i was afraid she would pour more water on me...luckily, she didn't.....after about 50 minutes of this bliss...she had me go into a warm shower...heaven!! it was hot!!! the rest was a nice massage...larene and i had some good laughs after...when they said it was a 'cooling' wrap, they really meant it!!! so, read the fine print!! tonight we went to a fun mexican restaurant...food was great...then, our waiter started doing magic tricks, with a wine bottle, toothpicks and fork and spoon...then, disappearing tricks with coins...he was pretty good...we then went shopping for food at the megastore...now, everyone's reading their books....tomorrow the girls leave and kelly and her kids are coming for a few more days...so, they are leaving...so sad, but, i get to stay...yea!!

it's a gorgeous day in cabo...and we never stopped talking...haven't read my book yet...it's been such a fun time...and this was only day 1!!!

do you ever feel like  you have absolutely nothing to say?  that's how i've felt lately...it's not that i haven't been doing anything...i've actually been pretty busy...it just doesn't seem very exciting...guess it's those january blahs...well, january is over and done with and we're on to february which in california is usually the start of spring!!! it's green and pretty from all of our rain...the trees start blooming, but we still see snow on the mountains...it's one of the nicest times to be in california...plus, it's a short little month...before you know it, we will be in march...and then, it's almost summer...which i adore...so onward we go! and for all of you that live anywhere other than this paradise called california...enjoy february...spring will be there in a few months!!
