lemonade

here in the u.s. when we order lemonade...we get a drink made of lemons...it's usually a little bitter...made out of lemons and water and sugar...while on my travels of the last few weeks...i learned that lemonade everywhere else is made with.....LIMES! and it's delicious...alot of limes, water and sugar...it's not quite as bitter as our lemonade..and it's soooo good....sooo refreshing...a nice little change...so try it...you'll love it...

  1. In Mexico, limes to us are actually lemons to them!

Our yellow lemon in Mexico is called lima, and it's sweet, rather than sour. strange uh? I've tasted it, and it really looks like a lemon, and it really is sweet!

Interesting tid bit that I picked up, cause my husband is a "know-it-all" just kidding, he would know I guess... coming from a Mexican!

  2. That does sound very refreshing. I will have to try it sometime. They have some cool lemon/lime looking fruit in Nicaragua too.
