fez morocco

we flew to fez on monday morning...got there at about 1...the hotel was amazing.when we got to the hotel which is in the medina, they upgraded me to this amazing room....the royal suite!

 it was 2 floors...the living area, then upstairs the bathroom and bedroom...it had this gorgoues terrace also...it was decorated with tiles, carvings, wood carvings...so beautiful.......

fez is famous for the medina...this is a living area with little roads, walkways, paths...it's a maze...we took a guide because you will get lost really easily when walking around...there are over 80,000 shops in the medina!  there are no cars allowed...they use carts and donkeys...it's going back in time...it's crazy!  our guide took us to a university in the medina....we saw a few of the many mosques....shops....rug shop...clothing...whatever...it's unreal....and so much walking...down hill...up hill....it's a lot of uneven surfaces....my bad knee did not do well!!!

that night we stayed in and ate...we were exhausted...then, on tues we took a tour of the city walls, potter area, the palace, a jewish area...different areas...when we were done, we had massages at the hotel...much needed!!! had a fun time....what an amazing place to visit....
