thoughts on morocco

it's a fascinating place....it's full of mystery....bright colors....friendly people....delicious food....and then there is driving...which i wouldn't do....they don't really use road rules....no one pays attention to the lane markings...a two lane road is usually a 3 or 4 car road...pedestrians cross wherever...and drivers do not pay attention...definitely not pedestrians have the right of way....cars just go when they can...doesn't matter how close another car is, or how fast the cars are coming towards you....they are so cute with kids...always giving them something...a toy, a cookie, an orange...whatever...they are North Africans..they are Berber/Arabic......different than middle or southern africa...they are a peaceful loving country....there are many old ways...they use a lot of donkeys and carts to haul things around...there are a lot of sheep in the country...they speak french because they were a colony of france for along time....the countryside around marrakech is deserty like arizona...alot of cacti....the atlas mountains are in the distance...they look beautiful...so tall...we were told they are a lot like the alps....the coast is an hour away...it's a really amazing country...i'm so lucky to have visited it...
